COD: Modern Warfare 3’s Reveal Event Is Tomorrow So Here’s How And When To Take Part

Gear up for an early morning.

Activision is gearing up for a big reveal event for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, this year’s entry and direct sequel that was officially unveiled last week. Although we’ve already been given the game’s release date of November 10 and had confirmation that it will indeed be a full-priced premium release this year, there’s still a heap left to learn at tomorrow’s event.

Similarly to when Call of Duty: Vanguard was promoted in 2021, the reveal for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is happening inside Call of Duty: Warzone, so if you’re keen to be a part of the action you’ll need to log into Warzone at the right time. The action kicks off at the ripe hour of 3.30AM tomorrow though, so it’s going to take a degree of dedication. Here’s how that shakes out in other local timezones:

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Reveal Event Australian Times

  • 3.30 AM AEST (Melbourne/Sydney/Hobart/Canberra/Brisbane)
  • 3.00 AM ACST (Adelaide, Darwin)
  • 1.30 AM AWST (Perth)
  • 5.30 AM NZDT (Wellington)

Otherwise, we’ll no doubt have all the news ready to go for you later on in the morning.

It was also revealed that those taking part in the Modern Warfare 3 reveal event will be able to unlock a set of in-game rewards in Modern Warfare 2 and Call of Duty: Warzone (which should also carry over into MW3) including the AR M13C weapon, a new charm, emblem, vehicle skin and more.

From the official Call of Duty blog:

Assemble a four-person fireteam and be ready to drop into Call of Duty: Warzone starting at 3:30 AM AEST on Friday, August 18. Double XP begins at this time, shortly before the commencement of the Shadow Siege Limited Time Event, scheduled to begin at 3:30 AM AEST. The exact operation is shrouded in secrecy, but intel interceptions from Commander Phillip Graves seem to indicate the battle you should prepare for:

“This is an airborne to ground assault of the Konni-occupied Zaya Observatory.”
