Not content with just one Prime shopping day a year, Amazon has today announced Prime Big Deal Days, which is another Prime exclusive shopping event coming to Australia in October.

We don’t know a lot about the event including exact dates and because this is the first time it’s being held, really don’t know what to expect in terms of deals, but October is a great time to be having a sale like this with the latest games just dropping.

You will need to be an Amazon Prime member to access the deals although if you’re not (for whatever reason), we’d recommend holding off on that 30 day trial until a little closer to October. You can grab that HERE.

The July line-up of fresh games being added to the PlayStation Plus catalogue for Extra/Deluxe members has been revealed, and while the selection of new games coming to the service on July 18th isn’t quite as stacked as the month before, there’s a pretty diverse mix of titles and some definite gems like It Takes Two and Undertale in the line-up. To celebrate the upcoming premiere of the Twisted Metal TV series, we also get a couple of classics there!

Amazon Prime Day is here and with it comes an avalanche of gaming and tech bargains, and for those of us still rocking a pittance of storage on their PS5 consoles – a golden opportunity to upgrade.

Following up a now-expired deal on the Corsair MP600 Pro SSD, Amazon has dropped an even bigger banger of a deal with both the tried-and-true Samsung 980 Pro SSD in a 2TB capacity for a ridiculously-good $167 as well as the Silicon Power 2TB SSD for an even cheaper $162.

Amazon Prime Day has begun and it’s kicking off in massive fashion with some decent PlayStation 5 console deals that take the existing sales and sweeten them just that little bit more.

The disc-based PS5 console has seen a pretty juicy price cut around local retailers as of this week, with Amazon’s pricing already at the lower end, but now those picking up a standalone disc console or the two-DualSense bundle during the Prime Day festivities will also score a bonus $50 Amazon credit for their next purchase.

The PlayStation VR2 Horizon Call of the Mountain bundle is also discounted at the moment and eligible for the $50 bonus credit so if you’ve been on the fence about one (and you can read our review here if you need convincing) it might be a good time to take the leap. Just when we thought the deal was over for good all the way back in March, Microsoft has seen fit to resurrect the famous Xbox Game Pass Ultimate $1 deal.

That’s right, friends, we’re back in business! New users can now get into Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass (but not the standalone console subscription) for $1 for their first month, which will then revert to the standard subscription price for the months following.

That price does happen to be higher than usual for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, which saw a price increase just this week from $15.95 per month to $18.95 per month, while the standard Xbox Game Pass subscription went up from $10.95 per month to $11.95 per month and PC Game Pass remained the same. The price of an Xbox Series X console is also set to be raised as of August 1st, from a $749.95 RRP to a $799.95 RRP.

Existing Xbox Live Gold or Game Pass subscribers who use the $1 offer to upgrade to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate can also carry over their pre-paid membership time at the “current conversion ratio,” up to a maximum of three years total membership time. You can read more about that in the FAQ here.

This month is a fairly good time to get into Xbox Game Pass with the likes of GTA V making its return and Capcom’s multiplayer dinosaur shooter, Exoprimal, on the way. Though if you’re hanging out for Bethesda’s blockbuster RPG, Starfield, in September you may even want to hold out and hope that the $1 Xbox Game Pass Ultimate deal sticks around long enough to jump on that. Coupled with the game’s Premium Upgrade – currently discounted on Amazon – you could theoretically get into the game five days early for less than $60, though you’ll only have a month to try and tackle what’s surely a behemoth of a game before the pricier renewal rolls around.

Amazon has announced the line-up of free PC games included with Amazon Prime subscriptions for July 2023.

It’s a bit of an odd month this time around, with Amazon already announcing some games being available in the lead-up to its Prime Day event in July, meaning only four new titles were announced today in addition to those, and it’s definitely a slimmer month overall but with some top-notch games on offer.

These games will be available starting July 6th for Amazon Prime members. If you’re not already a Prime subscriber, you can get 30 days free HERE.

Old mate @billbil-kun is back after a few PlayStation Plus drops that haven’t leaked in recent months, once again bringing us an early look at what’s in store in July for those subscribed to the base tier of PS+ and above.

This month’s titles are actually a pretty decent bunch, especially if you’ve been hanging to replay the remaster of the original Alan Wake before its highly-anticipated sequel drops later in the year in October. The games included and presumably dropping on Tuesday, July 4th will be:

• Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War
• Alan Wake Remastered
• Endling: Extinction Is Forever

That also means subscribers have less than a week to claim the current three PlayStation Plus Essential bonus games for June and either download them or at least ensure they’re in the library for a rainy day. The current games offered are NBA 2K23, Jurassic World Evolution 2 and Trek To Yomi.

We recently got an extended, behind-closed-doors look at Remedy’s upcoming sequel, Alan Wake II, and came away ready for more when the game drops on October 17th for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.

We also gave Alan Wake Remastered a respectable 8.5/10 in our review back in 2021, saying “Alan Wake Remastered is a prime example of if it isn’t broken, don’t fix it. The story, and the way it’s told is truly timeless, and it’s a game that everyone should experience. Some of its design might be stuck in the past, but none of it ever feels detrimental to the overall experience, and the visual facelift just makes the experience that much better. Whether you’re a new fan of Remedy’s work, or a long-time player, there’s never been a better excuse to visit or return to Bright Falls.”

After announcing that it would cease further support for the game, including the end of regular seasons updates with new characters and maps, by the start of this month, Square Enix has seemingly refreshed the way in which it offers its 2022 Final Fantasy-themed Nintendo Switch kart racer.

As of the end of last month, the previous free “Lite” version and paid, full version of Chocobo GP have been rolled into one, paid product on the Nintendo Switch eShop. On top of this, Square Enix has reinstated all of the added content that was previously locked behind paid currency microtransactions and timed events and made it all available to unlock simply by playing the game.

Chocobo GP’s paid “Mythril” currency was delisted a while back, but now with this new version of the game the content that it previously unlocked can be acquired again through gameplay, as is also the case with things like timed-exclusive vehicle colours.

And in fantastic timing for Final Fantasy fans looking to get a kart racing kick with some of their favourite series characters and locations, Amazon currently has the physical copy of Chocobo GP for a measly $19, which is now even better value thanks to the removal of all of the scummy monetisation practices that made already paying a premium to play the game itself a bit of a terrible proposition.

Amazon has just announced the dates for its huge, annual Prime Day sale, which will feature thousands of cracking deals across July 11th to July 13th.

Kicking things off early though, Amazon has also revealed that Prime members will get access to a series of free classic PC games to claim with new titles added every week leading up to the sale, in addition to the monthly games already featured. It starts right now with Arkane’s underrated 2017 gem, Prey, which is available for Prime members to download and keep.

On top of the bonus games, members will also get extra content and perks for some of the biggest titles like Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0, Diablo IV and Pokémon Go.

PlayStation’s Days of Play event is back on, bringing physical and digital deals across a number of retailers. One of those is Amazon, which has just launched its Days of Play deals as part of its Mid-Year Sale. We’ve listed out everything included in Amazon’s PlayStation deals, which contains a handful of decent prices on things like DualSense controllers and some first-party games at pretty good discounts – the sale has already changed a couple of times since it kicked off so we’ll continue to monitor and see if anything is added or drops further as is common with Amazon.

Like the last Days of Play event, there’s no PlayStation Plus deal coming from retailers due to PlayStation Plus cards no longer being sold, but there will be a digital deal on the PlayStation Store for subscriptions.

We’re back once again with another incredible deal on some added storage for your PS5 console, this time around with another 2TB SSD that’s cheaper than any out-of-the-box compatible drive that we’ve seen to date.

This time around it’s one of the more entry-level Gigabyte Aorus models that doesn’t quite reach the same sequential read speeds as the others we’ve recommended, but still hits above the minimum that’s required for the PS5 console (in fact, this particular drive reads faster in a PS5 than it does in a PC, according to the manufacturer).

Amazon has announced the line-up of free PC games included with Amazon Prime subscriptions for June 2023.

After it dropped a surprise second helping of titles late into this month’s catalogue, Amazon is back to a smaller pool of gaming gifts for Prime members next month with 13 new games. It’s a bit of a mixed bag, but we can highly recommend checking out SteamWorld Dig 2 and Roguebook as a couple of gems amongst the lot.

These games will be available starting June 1st for Amazon Prime members. If you’re not already a Prime subscriber, you can get 30 days free HERE.

We thought the recent price at Amazon was a great deal on the PS5 Console bundled with God of War Ragnarok, but this new deal from Target is insane.

Right now the retailer has the bundle including the disc-based console and digital download of God of War Ragnarok for the same price as the digital console on its own – $699!

If you’ve been looking to buy any version of the PlayStation 5, this is one of the cheapest deals around on any SKU and it normally retails at $904. Even if you never play God of War Ragnarok, it’s a clear $100 shy of the retail price of the standalone disc-based PS5 console.

LudoNarraCon, the annual digital festival held by Fellow Traveller that celebrates narrative video games of all sizes and genres, is back on for 2023 over the dates of May 5th – May 9th and this year’s event is another massive one.

In its fifth annual installment, LudoNarraCon is exhibiting 43 games, with 36 playable demos – of which 18 are brand-new to the event – as well as panels and chats with developers including some of the industry’s best with Ron Gilber, Felice Tzehuei Kuan and Scott Chenn.

Keen fans will be able to download playable PC demos for some exciting upcoming titles like Goodbye Volcano High, The Invincible, Harmony: The Fall of Reverie, Loco Motive and Melbourne’s own ambitious Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical – which features the likes of Troy Baker and Laura Bailey and recently got an August 3rd release date. It might not be an all-time low price for a PS5, but EB Games has dropped a new deal on the God of War Ragnarok bundle that might entice regular customers to make the jump.

Right now, EB is slinging the bundle, which includes the disc-based PS5 console plus a digital download code for God of War Ragnarok, for a cool $799 – down from its regular RRP of $904.95. That puts it at the same price as the non-bundled version, and will obviously come down even more if you’ve got any other games/hardware to trade in, as long as it’s not an OG PS4/Xbox One.

Interestingly, the trade deal that EB is calling out is to get the bundle for $639 when trading a Nintendo Switch and two games or $579 for the equivalent in a Switch OLED.

On the topic of Devolver, the publisher has recently announced one of its upcoming titles – a wholesome 10-player co-op platformer called KarmaZoo, in development at French studio Pastagames and described as “a game for nice people.”
